Maureen Denise McCormick, the only daughter of Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. She was raised by her mother, who was an housewife, and her father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings.
