Maureen FitzSimons's early accomplishments in the performing arts, which we now know by the name of Maureen O'Hara, would certainly qualify her for her place in the "child prodigy" category. For a young Irish girl with talented parents and extended families, these characteristics were a normal. Maureen came to this loving refuge on the 17th of August 1920. Her family was the family of her parents. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is her mom. She was a skilled contralto. Charles FitzSimons managed a Dublin-based business and owned a share in "The Shamrock Rovers," an eminent Irish soccer squad. Maureen FitzSimons was the second daughter from Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons rounded out the wonderful family. Maureen loved playing rough sports when she was an infant and was extremely good at it. The passion for sports was matched by an unnatural talent for performing. She took home almost every Feis Award for Theatre and Drama the country could offer. In her 14th year, she joined an organization called the Abbey Theater to follow her goal of studying the classical theater and operatic singing.
